Putnam County residents formed the Putnam County CO₂ Action Team (PCCAT) in response to a proposed carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) project by Marquis Energy. Concerned about public safety, groundwater quality and quantity, and air pollution, PCCAT aims to provide accurate information and raise public awareness so community members can make informed decisions.
